The 2010 National Transmission Network Development Plan (NTNDP) was released by AEMO in December as expected = http://www.aemo.com.au/planning/ntndp.html

I'm up to my ears in solar data at the moment, but will be looking at this and hopefully making some comments before too long. There is an informative 8 min video overview included on the linked page.
